EXPO AS URBAN STRATEGY｜2019

The Pazhou area in Guangzhou is an ancient port that has a profound water culture. However, the importance of water and public space in Pazhou has not been given much attention. Therefore, we have proposed a water expo as a potential solution. Expo refers to the organization of public space through time-sensitive activities. It focuses on the transformation of urban infrastructure to attract people, upgrade the image of a block, and highlight and display a theme. At the same time, we have considered the post-expo space requirements from a long-term perspective.
